  1. 250 gms Arvi (Colocasia)
  2. Green Chilli – 2 – 4
  3. Coriander – Handful
  4. Gram flour – 1/4 bowl
  5. Pinch of Asafoetida (Heeng)
  6. 1/2 spoon Turmeric (Haldi)
  7. 1 – 2 spoons of Coriander (Dhaniya) Powder
  8.  1 spoon of Carom (Ajwain) seeds
  9. Salt, Red Chilli Powder
  10. 1 spoon of Fennel seeds (saunf)
  11. 1/2 spoon of Aamchoor powder



  1. Boil and peel 250 gms of Arvi, microwave them for 10 minutes till they become tender.
  2. Take a pan, put 3-4 spoons of Olive Oil or Mustard Oil.
  3. Heat the oil for 2 minutes, put in Carom seeds, fennel seeds and Asafoetida.
  4. Put in Coriander Powder and also add some Gram Flour, mix the added contents.
  5. Now add the turmeric and keep mixing the spices with the Gram flour.
  6. Time to add the Arvi, put over some salt and Red Chilli powder.
  7. Let’s give it a spike of taste by adding some chopped green chillies.
  8. Add the Aamchoor powder.
  9. Now add half a glass of water and cover the mixture with lid for around 5 minutes.
  10. Top it with chopped fresh Coriander leaves.
  11. Ready to serve with hot Chapatis, Poori or Parantha.
